What is the easiest way? I would also like to keep all my Gadgets settings, except that my new machine will have more cores/threads, but i suppose that will be handled automatically. I have already looked into Rainmeter's settings page, but can't really find an export function here. So your help is very much appreciated. :welcome:
There are a couple ways to do this, but here is how I'd do it.

1. On your old machine, copy the folder C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\Gadgets to a removable drive or someplace where you can transfer this to your new machine.
2. On your old machine, make a copy of C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\Rainmeter\Rainmeter.ini and store it in the same place as the backup in step 1.
3. On your new machine, install a fresh copy of Rainmeter AND a fresh copy of the Gadgets. (Don't bother customizing the skins.)
4. On your new machine, exit out of Rainmeter.
5. On your new machine, DELETE all the files and subdirectories in the folder C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\Gadgets.
6. Copy the Gadgets folder from the copy you made to the new machine, replacing the Gadgets folder with the one from your old machine.
7. On the new machine, overwrite your C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\Rainmeter\Rainmeter.ini with your backup copy.
8. Restart Rainmeter.

Viola! The skins will reappear the same as how you had them. If you are using HWiNFO, you will need to remap all the sensor indexes from scratch, since they will most likely be completely different. If you are using the "Pro" Network skins, you'll need to install the NetMonitor service and re-configure the settings for your new adapters, as most likely the old settings will not work.

If you want to preserve your skin layout, the layouts are stored in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Rainmeter\Layouts. Copy any of the folders you want to keep over to your new machine.

Let me know if you run into any issues.
